Day one, arrival
I could feel their eyes on me. They tried not to stare, not to be suspicious. I had only been to this planet for five minutes and the Force of the place is almost overwhelming. A Jedi welcomed me, he told me that he sensed tremendous potential in me. Of course he did. But he didn't know the half of it. For a second I wondered if my mental barrier would be strong enough - can I really hide my thoughts and feelings from the Jedi masters? Yes. Mother taught me well - better than any instructor on Korriban ever could have. The Jedi was droning on and on and I felt impatient. But things quickly changed - a holocall later and I was on a speeder headed to an area where some natives apparently were running amok. Pathetic Jedi - can't even keep the primitive natives in check.
There were more people here - Jedi students, not yet padawans. Like me. But no, they will never be like me. Again I felt the stares, someone even gasped "A sith? Here?". Was this a mistake? Not many of my species ever set foot on this planet, I'm sure - everyone are going to be extra suspicious of me just because of how I look. I glared coldly at him, holding back a will to strike him down where he stood.
I was happy to rush into the fray. The native beasts were simple enough to dispatch, even with my low-powered training sabre. But they came in large numbers and helped keep my concerns at bay. All around me I saw Jedi students hacking and slashing, there were no masters around. Strange teaching methods, I thought. More like something I would have expected on Korriban. Perhaps the Jedi are more like us than we know.
After leaving a long trail of dead bodies, I finally reached the Jedi temple, my robes were caked with dust and the dried blood of the savages. When I had landed, my clothes were white - now they matched the colour of my skin. Nobody seemed to even notice this and again I wondered if the Jedi are more blood-thirsty than we are lead to believe. I was shown to a small room with a bed, a small table and a single chair. There was also a refresher unit in the corner. On the bed lay a clean set of robes, so I took a shower and changed. The refresher unit actually had real water, not the sonic shower I was more used to. I guess living planet-side has its advantages.
I located the cantina, it was just down the hall from my room, and ate a light meal. Tomorrow I will meet the Jedi council and some of the knights who were looking for padawans. If I can fool them then, I will know if I can do this or not. If I can't fool them, I suppose that I won't have to worry much longer. Either way, tomorrow will be a decisive day. I will turn in early.
